UPDATE:

Though it doesn't mean much, I've decided to change the meaning of the title. "The Chrono Alter" is now the name of an event that will change all of time.

Also, another thing I have changed, the final boss has been changed. Instead of a one form final battle, it has two forms.

Also, I was thinking of doing a Q&A to see if you guys had any questions about this game or future projects. What do you guys think?

Anyway, the video is of a boss battle. The scene was in the original, it's just MUCH more epic in the remake. I keep forgetting this is a remake. The story is similar, but still very different.

I've also decided recently to scrap a character from the original game. Instead, Dalton will take the role of lead villain. Schala's role has changed a bit. She has a more.... Canon role now.

Also, hooray for new side quests! ^_^

Oh, and you'll be able to select your party during the last bit of the game. Lucca, Ayla, and Robo join as permanent members!

I'm thinking of changing the title once more. I'm not sure how I feel about it.

What do you guys think of "Chrono Alter"? Please give me some feedback!

If I do change it, it'll most likely be "Chrono Trigger II: Enter Subtitle Here". Since I'm using the CT crew, it feels like it should be CT2 as opposed to "Alter".

I was actually thinking of it like a spin-off or alternate depiction of the next game in the series, like Chrono Cross was to Chrono Trigger, or even how the Final Fantasy series works.  A direct sequel just doesn't sound like the right way to go with your production.

Still, what got you thinking about a title change?  You sounded very determined about "Chrono Alter".

I'll stick with Alter, I think. It's way too far into production. The game will be "finished" and sent through the editing/beta testing process in the next two weeks.

You'll get to beta soon! I'll have the game "finished" by the end of next week hopefully. Then I have to edit the game: that includes touching up maps, changing around scenes, adding new treasure, adding new features if possible. That'll take a week, pending I don't get tied down by school.

Seriously: The game is nearly done. I didn't realize how close it's getting until today. Once I finish the dungeon I'm working on, which is nearly done, I have to do the three side quests, then the final dungeon/ending and that's it. >_>
