Wow, just listened to the samples, and this is pretty good if you can get into soft rock and jazzy renditions. I dig it. "Tyrannosaurus" sure would have come in handy for the 1005AD Reptite world section of Crimson Echoes!

I'll plunk down some money for this, but I'm always fond of buying tracks separately when possible. Did anyone catch which tracks weren't going to be released for download at Amazon?

EDIT: Oh, for those like me who may be morbidly curious as to how this all works out legally, here's an explanation from ThaSauce:

Quote from: OneUp Studios
Isn't This Illegal?

No. The United States Copyright Laws allow anyone to license any music that has been published. In the case of some of the older music we license, where the copyright owners can not be found, we can file a Compulsory License and License the music. In some cases, we contact the copyright holders themselves and license the music directly through them. Every copyright holder is compensated for the use of their music (or, in some cases, not compensated because they're generous enough to let us use it for free!).

I'm not sure about SELLING one (I don't thing we even need it, anyway) but some fan licensing can be secured through certain websites that permit viewing Doujin.

OCRemix
Newgrounds

But alas, that's all I'm familiar with. But I'm sure there are thousands of companies as such out there which might even benefit with good quality doujins

Hmmm...but doesn't the word doujin just refer to the group of people? So a manga doujin or a doujinshi would just be mangas done by amateurs or some such thing. I mean, we have the group here, we just need the license, or whatever OCR and Newgrounds have...

Did you guys know that Capcom actually used the latest Street Fighter II OCRemix album as the in-game music for their Street Fighter II HD re-release? Hot damn. Hot diggity damn.

But US copyright law seems especially friendly to music. For example, it's possible to invoke a compulsory license to music whose author can't be readily found, subject to fees set by some kind of board the US government maintains. The royalties go into a trust fund, and if the author is found, the author gets the monies. How awesome is that?

"Blue and Mighty Fine." Hahahahaha! And here all this time, we thought it was...

Thanks for posting the pics Zephira. I haven't received mine yet; I guess they're being shipped immediately in the order they were filled in.

Oh you are going to love it, Faust, especially Tyrannosaurus. That has to be my favourite track on the album (sorry Magus).
The only sad thing is that poster has a picture on the back of it too so I'm afraid to tape it on my wall :(

Frame the poster and hang it up--that way the back won't be ruined by icky tape, though you still won't be able to see both sides...

Though many thanks for sharing these images--what a treat.

I feel really bad for discovering this on the eve before the BAMF music video contest ends. Entries are due today I think.

Here's one of their takers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxPpjInTZOA

That would've been hard to beat anyway.

That video said they showcase Ailsean... I thought Ailsean died a couple of years ago?

Sounds cool. Yeah, you should write a detailed review, Z girl. I want to read more about it to see if I want to buy : ).

Anyone else preorder and not receive it yet? I'm not sure what the shipping speed was for the $3.00 tacked on though, so maybe Zeph paid more or lives nearer to the shipping location.
