Enemies Have Half HP When Solo?

For example, SandSquirt.
During the Komodo Scale quest, Serge can kill it with a heavy attak (do about 15 damage).
Komodo Pup and Beach Bum both have less HP than it is listed in the Encycopedia or, Ultimania. Perhaps they have only half of that amount.

So perhaps when there's only Serge in party, enemy's HP will be halved?
Some situation that can be tested: Mama Komodo battle, Radius Battle(lecture), Time Devourer battle in new game+, home/another world regular battles before anyone joins in.


I've tested that Mama Komodo has only 76 HP (half of its normal value), Radius has 30000HP as usual.

Can anyone possibly find some way to get more than one character in that fight to confirm that?

I'm betting that's the reason(othewiser Serge probably would have quite a bit of trouble at the begining, whereas when you'd level up to meet the massive expectations the rest of the game would be blistering easy).

I wonder if it's an event-programmed thing for just that part of the game, or just a hardcoded check (like, "if only one character is in a battle, reduce enemy HP"). Is there any way to test on a late chapter?

It is a battle script as far as I know. At least the divider 2 is stored there. (HP / 2)
But I don't know how it exactly works since I don't have a decompiler.
