Chrono Trigger Unglued: Episode 21
« on: June 22, 2010, 05:37:42 am »
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/539992

Crono and Company, having landed in the future, discuss what their next steps are going to be. Meanwhile, back at home, Cat has an important conversation with a mysterious person. However, before all that, there's something Gaspar has been meaning to do for some time now...

By the way, you actually have to select the second scene to skip Gaspar's Narration this time. However, if you actually want to see the secret scene, I'm not sure you want to...

That was the first time I have ever been Rick Roll'd.  By far the best way to have it happen.  =)

I'm glad you both loved the dancing Gaspar. I think the big problem most people have with memes is that they encourage great laziness, but if someone can actually perform a quality rendition of a meme it will be enjoyable even for the naysayers. It is for this reson that I always try to go the full nine yards with everything I do in CTU, even if it means a lot more work for everyone involved. Cast in point, that was the actual voice actor for Gaspar signing there instead of us just using the original recording by Rick Astley.

I figured as much.  That really was the perfect touch.  Fantastic job!

Edit::  Err...unintentional rhyming there.  Woot?  XP

It would seem like your episodes are slowly turning into a mega-epic comic series... where hardly anything happens within an episode.

Most of your dialogue seems to mostly consist of unwarranted potshots that only the most masochistic individuals would vent out for getting another rung up (or down) the social ladder.

Finally, am I assume that the Cat is on a Bluetooth talking to the Enterprise before beaming up his inner metaphysical essence and thereby returning to normal? 'Cause that's as good of a deduction as I'm gonna find.

Other than that, your efforts are getting better with each episode. I especially didn't expect a karaoke rendition of Astley's song with Gaspar singing and dancing to it.

Wow I did NOT expect that so soon! And I SO did not see that coming, with the cat. I'm very interested now. I loved the secret scene as well :D Dancing gapar was great, and I think my favorite scene was where the three of them left the dome and saw how horrible the future was. LMAO I freakin love Crono. I wonder if he'll sing in rhyme like Gato now?

TO GENESISONE:

1) Some episodes will have more forward movement take place in them than others, but basically - yes - this is going to be a VERY expanded retelling.

2) Crono and Lucca are the sorts of friends who've known each other a very long time, and fight like crazy despite being good friends. There's more to it than that, but all will be revealed before the end of the 2300 AD arc.

3) You were right about the part of his metaphysical essence being transported, but wrong about the rest. All will eventually be revealed in time.

4) Thank you, going in to the episode I was very worried people would hate the singing part... but it's actually been the most positively talked about part.
