Perhaps since on the grand scale that is the Chronoverse, Iokans are in fact among the weakest? Larubians aren't even in the ranking even.

no, no, I have a better answer than that. The Larubians ARE here, but they are so adept at hiding that you won't be able to find one anywhere.

Well, Ayla aside, Ioka in general is indeed weak (though only in comparision) compared to guys like 600 AD Mystics, CC!Porre, and the like.

While others have powerful magic, or advanced weaponry, Ioka has... physical strength. They may indeed win at that (although the Reptites may have a saying in that), but it's not enough.

Yeah, but Laruba Never fighted Anything, in the Reptite war If you did the Tyrano lair dungeon on Chrono trigger, you go to a part Where you see The Laruba Villagers in a Prison it either means they Surrendered Or fighted them and we all know they Surrendered.

Well You do not see Laruba ((Was once Iokaian by a mistak ) fight the only thing the Laruba and Ioka fight is the Frogs and the Nu's in the Hunting forest.

well if you ended Chrono trigger on the Tyrano lair part, thats when you found their Hiding Area. but they followed ayla making  The reptites fight them the Chief got mad, Ayla Convinces him to let her use the Dactyl  Crono and a Another Groupie join the adventure, also if you read what she says to the Chief It was this i think "No give up, Only when Dead Give up" also a another Forgot it though    :(

(Was a Edit) Oh also.... i am not sure about that Ayla says to the chief thing i ended the game a long time ago and i never bother to read the Posts of the people that much anymore

I really, really doubt that they don't fight the Reptites, what with Ayla (the badass) being their Chief.  The Iokans making snide remarks about the Larubans (Larubians?  Laruba?) hiding rather than fighting is a pretty strong insinuation that the Iokans fight against the Reptites.

Uh... listen, mate. What I said was: the Larubians are already here on the boards, but they are so adept at hiding that you won't see them. It was a joke. I've long since beat the game and seen every possible ending for it, including the one that shows the Reptites being the dominant species on Earth in Guardia 1000 AD, which means that without Crono and crew, both the Larubian and Iokan tribes would have been wiped out. Ayla was the only strong Iokan there, hence why she was the only one that you ever saw fight a reptite.

As it was said in the first post, the Larubians are too weak to be classified for the boards. Iokan are the weakest you can get that still put up a fight, again with the exception of Ayla.

Also, for the record, you wouldn't have even found the Larubians in the game, if not for Ayla, who probably knew where they were because they probably kept in touch being the only two human tribes in existence at that point.

Well i still do not think Ioka is the Weakest if it including the Guardia Warriors and those Mutants, then they are, i just think that the Laruba should be 1+ because they never fight

Actually, if anything, the Earthbound and Iokan should switch places, considering the Earthbound... yeah...

I dunno, I mean, the earthbound are pretty grungy looking, but that's because they don't have access to the nice stuff. they have to be tough to survive in the frigid cold against all those monsters down there. If anything, the Survivors in the future would be the weakest, from malnourishment and such. I mean, Larubians, for all we know, might actually not be weak at all. There is a difference between being weak and choosing not to fight.

Perhaps, but then again, the Earthbound, while they do have very harsh cold outside their caves and powerful monsters further in... that's it I guess. They don't seem to have the need to go outside much, and the monsters, well, they have their homes in a 'layered' section of the cave with removable ladders for a reason. And they aren't in a constant fight with another group, in fact, they are the slaves (for the most part) of it. The Iokans got it better in comparision.

correction - in the lavos timeline, the human tribes survived and the reptites went extinct. It's only if you take ayla away and beat lavos before defeating azala/black tyrano that you get the reptite ending.

The Iokans were not weak, and there is plenty of evidence that they did fight the reptites. Ayla was a strong leader who helped lead their efforts to victory.

and i just recently graduated from earthbound!
