Ok, I guess I'll be a boss...

I think it'd be great if the Compendium's Gurus...GrayLensman the Guru of Reason, Leebot the Guru of Time, and Aitrus the Guru of Life were all represented in the game w/their respective Guru (or at least Guru-like, in case the CT sprites have to be dumbed down) sprites. That'd be funny...

Other big Compendium names would have to be ZeaLitY, Ramsus and YbrikMetaknight (you could use the sprite from those Kirby games for Ybrik! Ha!)...Others too I guess...

It doesn't seem like the Shockers are all too up for the idea though...They think it's a real rivalry or something...

BAH, I keep forgetting to add things.  Forget my old ones.

Name: Sentenal

Class: Dismounted Knight, Warrior, whatever you want to call it.  Maybe Knight Templar?  That has a nice ring to it :)

Weapon: Broad Sword (Sigmund, the sword Destin the Valiant had in OB64)

Armor: Heavy Armor, gauntlets, boots

Skills:  Give me skills like Auron in FF10 (like Armor Break, Attack Break, basically things that decrease an enemies stat temporarily)

As for a sprite, I got one, but its FE style.

char dependent: Physical

He would be cocky, grim, but very honorable.

And maybe me and Daniel could both be very early bosses, but join up as characters, like they fight both of us, then we join.  If not, then oh well.

ok just some small updates (i keep forgetting about stuff)

battle system: will be basically the same as the shinnig force games with a few tweaks to allow for the FFTA skill system

skill/stat/equiptment system: will be the same as FFTA's

also sprites will not have to be lowered in quality since when ever i get a submitted sprite ill make the maps larger and stuff. but remmember not to large slightly bigger than CT's sprites will be the limit

oh and i will need someone to help me with sprites due to the shinning force system i wont need to many and i can rip some fromm other games but i will need  a spriter to do simple things like walking or changing attack/magic/skills sprites to different looks if there is not one that fits from whatever game

as since so many people who want to be bosses and dont fill the requirements i will change the boss post requirement to 400
and make it so that you have to fight new people for them to join

but its importent i get another spriter once ive sprited some since
1. im spriting many new thing in chrono arc (spriting new areas is a pain)
2. the main computer i use for spriting power pack broke and i need to find a new one
3. the computer i can use for spriting i use for playing world of warcraft with my bro
4.the other computer i can use or spriting is a desktop, i cant use those thing for spriting or writing without driving myself insane.

ill do this in rpg maker Xp and since the systems used in it arnt to complicated once i get round to makeing it it shouldent take long.

I'm not sure about the style or size of Shinning Force sprites.  Could you give me a link, or a sample, or something of them?  I've done a little bit of FE sprites (mostly recolor or edits), so I might be able to help you.

Oh yeah, btw, I just scored 400 posts, so boss for me :)

Here's a sprite sheet I found from SF2...This would be the map mode, during an actual fight (when you encounter an enemy, a new 'fight screen' appears) the sprites are exchanged for slightly better looking ones that just show the attack (both magic and physical types).

Here's an example of the 'fight screen' I was talking about (from SF1).

I might be able to help out a bit with the world sprites, but I'm not gonna even try the battle sprites.

As in, you create the first frame of the sprites we will use, and then we both work them so they have their walking animations and such?  Sure, I'll give it a shot :)

I think you could just use w/e sprites you use or borrow from other games (or make) in the 'fight screens'...it'd just be like cheesy ROM hacking

you have played the Shinning games havent you? think about the size difference, but for ones we cant find from other games yeah unless we can get a big time spriter well have to use the wrld sprites

and Sentenal thanks for helping :D but yeah thats what we'll do first i do a bunch of different char sprites facing up, down and sideways. then say every second bunch of char sprites you might do and i would do the rest.

but we wont start spriting till we get at least 15 people from both side posting their stats

Yeah, I've played like 1-3 I think...And yeah, the size-difference would be what gives it that awesome cheese-factor! :P Heck, that'd make for a great joke too, like, if you pointed out the size difference w/one of the characters...

"Why the heck is your sprite...i mean, why are you all short now?"

"I'm not...I...uh...It's just bad perspective!"

well hopfully when ZeaLitY comes back we might get more posters

Then we would have 4 :)  I think Daniel is interested in this as well, but I'm not sure.
