top secret eh? That i never knew. Why though? Wouldn't something as special as time research and other stuff, be something the government would want? A scientific revolution?

Chronopolis was founded by the "Central Regime". You never knew it, but Chronopolis' purpose was to gain complete and total control over time. Plus the fact they had the Frozen Flame, so they had to hide it.

but did they want to control time for good purposes (i think they would have considering Belthesar) or be complete despots? So does that also mean the Government had NO IDEA that Chronopolis even existed?

The Goverment was the one that gave Chronopolis the command to try and control time. And, I don't know why they wanted to control time, the only thing we hear about the Central Regime is that it's the one that told Chronopolis to run the Time Control Research.

Officially, the Central Regime claims that Chronopolis is just a random "military research center".

Indeed they do, but they did tell Chronopolis to run the Counter Time Expirement... Gosh, I thought of something. Chronopolis exists so it could exist in the future... So how is it possible FATE goes back in time by doing the same mistake twice? I think she would of learned her lesson.

When is it stated that the Central Regime wanted to do the counter time experiment. I figured that was propsed by Belthasar, since the research centre was designed and made by him.... >.>

I remember one saying the Central Regime gathered them there, and once the CT expirement was over they can go home...

What like a paradox (an ongoing time loop or something). Personally, that isnt right, it says on the Compendium that Chronopolis is just a building, it would weather and just fall apart if it kept going in a continuous loop. Its amazing it isnt completely gone by the time of the events of CC (considering its been around for over 13,000 years).

But FATE makes sure that everything goes on like the History books say it did so Chronopolis could exist in the future. Plus the fact I think FATE would secure the building's maintance.

But does FATE have THAT much power? How can a computer sustain a building for maintenace in terms of infinte years (because of the loop) without some form of magic?

Hey, it survived for a 100 years, and the workers' ghosts DO seem to be in a time loop of sorts, so maybe they keep making sure it works due to the loop?

But ghosts aren't physical (unless they are more than just ghosts).

PS: I found somethin to contradict my last post: FATE could tap into the FF and use some sort of magic to restore the foundations and maintenance i suppose.

come to think of it, isnt it quite strange that the Chronopolis scientists had never thought of using the FF for magical powers like Zeal did? Did FATE hide it from them (the magic i mean)? Did they know it was their but thought science and technology was more supreme?

In my opinion...MAGIC IS INFINITE!

No one knows its limits or its power. It can work in many many ways.

They know it was there, but like they could wrench it from FATE's hands.
