Hum I was wondering, on many site and one of my friend told me that :

"To kill Lavos you need to destroy the left bit and when the left bit die, all the thre dies"

Now, I really wierd out, in my cartridge it's the right bit...

does it random every new game?

Do I have a super secret hidden from public on mars cartridge?

========
lol i've jsut read that

Hint: Recruit Schala
To have Schala as a party member, fight her mother in an optional battle. Go and clear the game. Select New Game Plus and reach the same part where you fight Schala's mother and opt to flee from the battle.

Now, when the city falls, an island will appear. Go there and you will find Schala crying, and she says she has no where to go, and asks to join you.

============

I bet it's false, but we can always try?

No, no, no.

This is the *only* way to recruit schala to your party:

First beat the game the regular way.

Start a new game+ and beat Lavos solo (only with Crono) using a mop as a weapon.

Start a new game+ again.
Now go to the Millennial Fair.
Your goal is to earn 1,000,000 Golden Points.

After doing so, go to the tent where the clones game take place.

If you win, instead of the regular Crono clone, you'll get a Schala clone!!!

Now, continue playing the game.

Make sure Magus joins your party.

When you use the 'Chrono Trigger' take Magus with you.

During the time freeze he will be able to replace Schala with the clone!!!

And guess what.... a new diffrent ending!!!!!!!

P.S.

Beware of the golden Nu.....

and I though I was the only one to knew about these one for people reading this to get golden point you need to fight Gato using only healing items or magic.

before we all jump on the schala thing, I'm very curious about the lavos core, when the first tiem I killed the elf tbit using confuse and triple kick I was like this    (was it so easy beating Lavos!) but in fact I had to kill the right one.

for people who thinks I may not know my right from my elf tsee here:

feer my ascii drawing style (I searched on google find none :P)

o____o..............................(.O...v...O)...............o____o
.|.......|...............................|.............|.................|.......|
.|.......|...............................|.............|.................|.......|

Left bit ------------------------ Lavos ---------------------- right bit

PS never mind for the note about my alck of ASCII drawing I though I sucked

It's called LAVOS' LEFT BIT, yes? That means that it's on LAVOS' LEFT, not yours/the screens left. Get it?

Not to spoil anything, but, Schala doesn't have any attack sprites...much less an overworld sprite...

Oh, Translanka.  You can't fool us, we know that you just want to get Schala before us.  That's not going to happen, sorry.

P.S.  I'll spoil it.  Yes, she does have a special attack, but that's all I'll say.  It's a shame it wasn't included in the game, it's awesome.

[Edit] Typo.

Whoa, that sounds awesome. Though she dosen't have any sprites, and it's probably as hard as hell to actually beat Lavos with Crono alone, leave alone with a mop as your weapon, it sure is worth it.

Lordchandler, you're just trying to inflate your post count, aren't you?  ... Anyway, I believe its in prehistoric times.  In that forest, I forget the name.

the hunting grounds or the forest maze? I havent played CT in about 1 year, and if I remember correctly, didnt get the mop then.

And no, im not intentionally trying to raise my post count. Im doing a lot of talking to poeple recently, and that would probably be it!
