Cuyahoga, do you have the little "always remember me" thingie checked when you log in? That might help. If you don't the forum software might kick you off after a certain time period.
But in general, so many connection errors can occur in so many ways that it's just a fact of life on forums and email; best thing to do is always hit ctrl+c on your keyboard or otherwise copy the entire post into a notepad file before submitting. This has salvaged my productivity more times, and in more places, than I can count.
