Yeah, and the entity. After all, if there is any need of an entity, is because of so many gates appearing.

Yes, but all we know is that the Entity creates normal gates...The giganto gate is an anomoly...Thusly, I think that Lavos creates it out of the fact that it's pissed about being disturbed early in its...hibernation...or w/e you'd call it...

I think Magus caused a wrong Gate to open. In the Lavos Timeline, he wanted to open a gate into Lavos' Pocket Dimension, and so he was sucked in and died, that or in Frog's ending, he kills Magus, but there's still a belief that the Masamune may have reacted with the summoning aswell, as it is a part of Lavos' energy.

Meh, I think that the giganto gate still could have happened in the original timeline, but since Crono & Co show up in the new one, Magus just blames it on them...y'know, cause he's an ass like that sometimes.

Lol, That's funny.

But if in the original time line Magus was sent to Zeal, then what would have happened there? No Magus appeared in Janus' flash back.

Then Melchior woulden't be sent to the Mountain of Woe, and we see in Magus' flashback that Melchior was there.

Who said he was sent to Zeal in the original timeline? The giganto gate is a bizzare occurrance. Since it was just him and not four of them at once, it could have sent him god-knows-where.

I've had the same thought for a second. Then I remembered Kino was fond as a baby, not as a little brat.

Hey, I just thought. If Magus did die in the idea time line, and Crono and Co. stop him from dying via the effects of his summoning, then shouldn't the dimensions be torn apart aswell? I mean, theres nothing special about Serge and yet the dimensions split for him, and because they split for him, he became the Chrono Trigger. Omg, thats so screwed Oo.

Serge became the Chrono Trigger the moment he became the Arbiter. Nothing to do with the split. In the Ideal Timeline, Crono and co. save Janus, Janus dosen't die. There exists a dimension in which he DOES die, but being as they don't have neither an Astral Amulet or a "missing piece to the puzzle", they can't cross dimensions. Or get into Magus' castle, for that matter.

Plus the split being caused by Kid travelling back in time. If I'm right, it's because she broke the major laws of Time-Egg-Reviving by not replacing Serge. That created a paradox. Time\Space just tore apart, creating a world where Kid never used the Time Egg. But she DID use it, so there was a world where she did save Serge.

I'd like to see you prove that.
