Lavos' location
« on: July 06, 2005, 04:52:28 am »
After flying around in CT a while back I managed to pinpoint the Porcupine's exact location. It's best viewed with the Epoch:

Go to 65,000,000 BC, and fly above the Tyran Ruins, the place we know where lavos crashed. Then fly to 12,000 BC. We've got open sea there, which means nothing. Fly to 600 AD. Oh, lookey here, Magus' Castle. Now fly to 1000 AD. Melchior's Hut. Now fly to 2,300 AD. Keeper's Dome.

And, after using the "Walk on 1999 AD map" cheat, I pinpointed his location there, too:

It's been done badly with paint, but hey, it serves the purpose.

very good. It does work. Hmmm, maybe Belthasar was weakened due to Lavos presence undernearth Keeper's Dome. And he (Lavos) is near Death Peak too.

No, Lavos is already on top of Death Peak, the game states that. Belthasar had gone insane, and at some point started researching so hard he stopped doing his basic needs for existence: Eating, maybe even drinking. Maybe he died of a weak heart, the situation out there would be enough to do that to the old man.

ah, ur right. Remember i havent played CT in a long while. But, as I said on MSN I will soon replay.

Anywho, do u think Lavos' presence atop Death Peak influence B. in any way? Considering B. could prob. see Lavos and Death Peak.

He can't see Lavos, but no, he dosen't effect Belthasar, not physically, I think. Just mentally he probably pisses the hell out of Belthasar, and the poor guy can do nothing at this point!

Thats kinda what i meant: mentally. I really do feel sorry for Belthasar, living in a destroyed world like that. And who knows how long he had been there for, trying to scavenge food and water. And no hygine or sanitation! Man he must stink...

Uhm...You mean his impact sight, right? Because, like, Lavos doesn't have a physical existence on the planet...It resides in it's Pocket Dimension...

Also...you have to factor in continental drift for some of those locations...

Yes, if he'd be deep enough he could remain at one place, which explains why in Zeal you see he's underwater and 12,000 years later, viola, he's underground.

Besides, look at the scene where he erupts. See where I marked Medina? Remember how that area looks like, then look at the eruption scene. Same place. Then go to 1000's Medina. Then go to 600 AD at where Medina is. Magus' Castle. Then go to 12,000 BC. Open Sea. Then go to 65,000,000 BC. Tyran lair. Then go to 2,300 AD. Keeper's Dome. See what I mean?

i see what u mean, i just went and tried it out a while ago. I think the programmers did plan that, it just adds a sense of realism into the game. Other wise it would be too coincidental.

there is a big difference between keeper dome et death peak, do you think Lavos could walk to there or teleport?

oh maybe the difference doesn't seems big but remember that it's a world map in a video game and crono is nearly has big has an house (or bigger!)

Hmm, in fact, it is Death Peak. The Keeper's Dome just seemes like a more important location to me.

Lavos lived in its pocket dimension before it erupted.  I think the pocket dimension's is simply connected to that part of the planet.

A pocket dimension? Intresting. You think there might be a gate to that PD there?

Read the "Beyond Time" piece in the article section of this website.  It has a part on Lavos' pocket dimension that is helpful.
