1. The Death Peak ONLY appears in the future.

2. Yes.

1. I mean after you beat him in 1999 AD. Like in the perfect future.

2. WHAT!? Why would that happen? That's f'ed up!

1. I doubt it, considering Death Peak probably formed in the 300 years since Lavos's eruption.

2. Queen Zeal/Lavos have had plenty of time to gather data/collect dna samples whatever from Crono, so they probably used that.

1. So what happened to Lavos' entrance hole? Did they cover it up? I don't think there is enough cement in the world to fill that up.

2. I think it would of been cool to fight Crono if you didn't get him yet in the game. The charaters could of been all "Crono you're alive!" and he attacks. It could play some sad music for the battle.

Considering I like to believe that, although a flawed theory, Crono = Miguel in Chrono Cross, I already have squared off with Crono with sad music playing.

Oh yeah? If you think that Lavos is Crono's father, then you have fought Crono's Dad with FOUR different songs! HA! Beat that!

I guess, but the Lavos = Crono's father has zero merit (seeing as it's a sarcastic reply insinuating that my theory is just as far fetched  :? .)

Read it before claiming the Miguel = Crono theory is extremely preposterous.

Well, it does make sense, but it's just a theory. Miguel couldn't be because Miguel never existed before Lavos was destroyed.

How is that? If you're referring to the fact that he appears in Home world, isn't it because he's captured in when blown off course to Another's Chronopolis and FATE made him guardian/keeper of the Dead Sea? I see what you mean when you say that Miguel couldn't have existed in the Lavos timeline, but it's feasible for Crono to exist as him in Another, since he would have existed as Crono at his age in the Lavos timeline.

Eh, I'm not entirely explaining this correctly, but I think I got the basic point across.

Actually, with that hat he wears, he looks more like Gasper...

Now THAT would definitly be a new one.

But still, I like thinking of Miguel = Crono because it adds a nice layer of depth and emotion to the situation. As they put it in the thread I linked, imagine being forced to be the guardian of a place that mirrors a desolate future you fought to negate, biding your time with echos of your past self and friends, and then your life ending forced to fight against those with the only chance of setting everything right. It's much better (and the sad music would be much more appropriate) than just fighting a random fisherman who was the father of Serge's girlfriend who just happened to have a tragic end of life.

Why did he fight you?

I assume it was because he was somewhat under FATE's control, though on a more subtle level, as he is able to talk somewhat with free will (though the bits about enjoying the Dead Sea seemed a little false to me).

No, I think he snapped at that point. Trapped forever in one place with no one to talk can really mess you up.

I considered that as well, though I wouldn't say, "snapped" as much as I would say, "started to deteriorate from prolonged exposure", as the term snapped implies he completely lost it, which is obviously not true due to what he says before and after fighting him. Also, that would fit under FATE's plans for him as the guardian. It would make sense for the super computer to slightly skew him a bit, so that he would seem to "enjoy" this place, and would have incentive to protect it.
