i don't know if i remember it right.
but in chrono trigger, when u visit Belthasar the first time you can (go trough the sewer the first time you're in 2300AD), doesn't he say something like: it's been a long time schala?  

wtf?

I don't think he is talking about Crono though.  He is crazy in the future remember.

He's concerning his longing for the fair and kind Princess of Zeal. Ryuusai is right, though. Belthasar is insane at that point, so he probably just muttered that out of the blue.

Yeah he is insane and probably wnats to remember the good times he had in Zeal and most were porbably with Schala.

are not the same at all

one IMO seems to say

Awww the good old time I miss them but now i'm fine ("Schala, how I've missed you so...")

the other tend to go to more personal but still "I'm crazy"

I know the father thing was farfetched too but no one talks about the king and I'd expected that since the gurus have been exiled it would be taboo to talk of them

Yes insane, crazy, loco.

He also mentions the Blackbird(I believe thats what its called, you know that flying thing in Zeal) and another invention his that you could not know about at that time.

Belthasar is insane and talking to himself even if it sounds like he's talking to someone else. Then he probably notices Chrono and talks to him. He wasnt talking to Chrono when he said "Schala, how I've missed you so..."

The strange thing is that if you go talk to him then, you have no intention of going to death peak. It's only afterwards that you decide to go....when Crono's dead I think. So how he could know is...strange.

Maybe he knew about Death Peak already somehow....about what was on it. Or maybe he tried to go up there and didn't stand behind the trees and fell  :P

He is probably warning you so you don't try to climb and get killed by the wind blowing you down the mountain.  Remember the phone bill would pretty high to call a docter to the future(even if they don't have phones).  :P

I don't think they are you're right. ALL of Schala's family and ONLY Schala's family have blue hair (correct me if I'm wrong). Also only a few Enlightened ones survived the destruction of Zeal and we know that none of them were descendants of Schala since they all died....unless:

MAGUS = CRONO'S FATHER!!!!!!

Which is obviously not true
