That is very interesting the TTI, when exactly does it 'kick in' though? Does it start as soon as you travel through time, or does it happen through some complex form of events?

That's why it's a theory. People easily say that Marle's Grandfather paradox is a plothole, what if its not? That may destroy TTI.

Well woldn't that still be TTI since Crono and Lucca remember Marle and still exist in 600 AD because Leene wasn't yet killed?  Just like with the example of Crono's mother and the black omen.  But dont' get me wrong, I still think its strange that they are even able to travel in time once the reason to travel in time is eliminated (and the rest of the Guardian Line.)

Wait, I just read that over.  I'm so convinced that its a plothole now....maybe.  Why would the effect of Leene's capture have consequences on the future so suddenly?  That would be like...you traveling to 65,000,000 (enough 0s?) to get the dreamstone and all of a sudden be holding the mended Masamune....wouldn't it?  I'm confused I think, but I'll stick with plothole.

Your example of a plothole makes no sense. There is more Dreamstone than just what Ayla has. That piece of the rock is not all of the Dreamstone of the planet.

I could explain how Marle's dissapearance is not a plothole, but I am tired. I'll do it later, or if you want you can find the hundreds of other threads where I expained it already.

I got yer back...

Quick version: It's not a plothole because it was the Entity's doing.

hummm
maybe whenever you change the history thought time-travel, automatically you create a new timeline (modified). Eventually, though, after a time *TAU*, both timelines relax and collapse into a single timeline again
But anyway, i think that Marle's partial disappearing was tribute to Back to the Future :D

Would that be normal time-flow or Time-error flow?

Perhaps I just missed the term.

Here's what I'm asking:  Is said amount of time (TAU) under the influence of time travel, or is "time" a misnomer here, given only due to lack of a better term, that describes time more from our perspective, outside of the universe in which the passage of time in the chrono universe is relevant.

The Entity has been our only explanation for Marle's vanishing at the beginning of CT for years, and it fits.

For many a long while now, many of us here have agreed that it was the Entity's doing. In fact, me and Legend were discussing that along with a few other guys about it somewhere....

On a slightly different note, does anyone find it strange that Doan was able to appear in the ending to CT completely unchanged.  Lucca is the one that brought the Guardia line to the castle, so there's no way he wouldn't be some kind of Chronopolean advisor or something.

On the contrary, I would be surprised if anyone didn't find that strange. See this topic.
