Could someone get me a savestate of the last room of the black omen, preferably before talking to Zeal?

If this type of request is not allowed, feel free to delete this thread, and I shall not speak of this again.

Savestates, patches of rom hacks, emulators, rom hacking tools, etc. are all perfectly legal.

Just think of it this way: If it was originally sold or published sometime in the last quarter century, then it's probably copyrighted and illegal to copy without explicit permission from the author or company that created or published it.

Most savestates, rom hacks, emulators, and rom hacking tools come with permission from the author(s) to copy and use them, and some even include source code.

ROM images usually don't come with permission from the author (which is actually a company for most games) for free copying/redistribution and what not. That's why a Chrono Trigger ROM is illegal. Also, dumping the game from a cartridge doesn't make one an author any more than downloading it does.

If you're using ZSNES, try loading the codes 7E010100 and 7E0100C2, I think. Have Walk through Walls on hand. It'll put you in the room right before, if memory serves.

Hum but having a ROM is legal if you own the cartridge whether it works or not, right?

that's a way to preserve classic

I'm pretty sure most Nintendo games have a clear message saying not to make copies, even for backup purposes, on the back of the cartridge and in the manual, making it illegal to download ROMs even of games you own.

I think Nintendo says that, but in reality its perfectly legal for you to do so.

Also, FYI...the "24-hour rule" is a load of BS.  There is no 24-hour rule.

Drat. Now instead of being a criminal of 72 hours, I'm a criminal for 96 hours.

Y'know? I actually broke my own rule/code and voted for Crono when he was against...whoever...a while back...But I must say, seeing one of these spammy GameFAQers here has made me that much more resiliant in my undying quest. Now I shall not visit GameFAQs for...Oh, I dunno...A week from this post, how's that sound? Not even for FAQs!

Better yet:

ANY WHO LOVE AND SUPPORT THE CHRONO SERIES SHALL NOT ENTER GAMEFAQ's FOR ANY PURPOSE FOR A WEEK! NO MATTER WHAT!

...And all who have read this and will still go in to GameFAQ's, are to be hated and mocked.

You know, as much as I like to see some of my favorite characters win things like this, I think its better for me to see them lose.  Why?  It makes them less popular.  In a way, I don't want Crono Frog and Magus to be jsut as popular as Cloud.  I don't like knowing the idea that 50 trillion people think Magus is "omg soooo 1337! but not even knowing that he used to be Janus.  I like things that I liek to be somewhat unique, not known all over the place.
