Split Dimensions and Traveling Into the Future

If my theory of Schala giving part of her soul to Kid was correct, this could be explained by saying that, when the dimensions splat, only one of the "Kids" received Schala's part of soul; that would be Home Kid. Another Kid, then, wouldn't feel the urge to seek and save a perfect stranger of whom she knew not even his whereabouts.

Well, Kid existed before the split as well, so if one Kid has Schala's spirit, both do.

But since there is only one Schala (she is trapped in the tesseract, completely outside Another or Home), parts of her soul should not be able to divide.

Why not?  Everyone else who existed through the split had their soul divied.  Well, not so much as division, since that implies each only getting half, but each person living throught the split gets 2 copies, both with a soul.

Yeah, but that's because every person has their own soul. What i am theorizing here is that Kid has not a soul of her own, but that she has been given part of Schala's soul. So, since Schala hasn't been multiplied by two, the part of Schala's soul that went to Kid, could only go to one of the two Kids.

In fact, this would only mean the split made two double of Kid each with as much soul put into her as the original Kid. Schala would then merge with the reunited Kid. Plus the fact there WAS a TD in Another World, it just never gets to complete it's evolution without Serge in Another World....

Eh, the Time Devourer exists in the Darkness Beyond Time, and thus is not limited to one dimension or the other.

Umm.. Kid goes back in time to save Serge, causing the split (either from going back in time or saving Serge), so it's not like the split existed prior so that Kid could be split and have one not save him unless there's something I'm missing in your arguement

Ok, here's my new theory:
Lucca finds Kid at 1005AD (just my guess). 1010AD comes around. Kid wanders around after Lynx burnt down Lucca's orphanage, eventually causing trouble to be recognized as the Radical Dreamers on the mainland by the villagers in Arni. Belthasar contacts Kid or does something through Project Kid to make Kid go back in time around 1013AD to 1010AD and saves Serge. Somehow, maybe since Serge's survival leads to a change of events, some entity preserves the timeline in which Kid eventually goes back in time to save Serge.

I said that Kid goes back in time from 1013AD because she looks ~18 in the game, so 1005-1013 is 8, and then 1010-1020 is 18. However, I guess she could go back in time from 1023AD (being 18), saves Serge, then once again time-travels from 1010AD to 1020AD.. that'd make the most sense, since Serge I think is supposed to have memories of Kid (looking 18, if that's what that scene is where she reaches out her hand)
Can someone confirm when the panther attack was because, unless I'm mistaken, Kid was 'born' when Schala made the electrical storm

Kid is born in 1004 AD. (This is known because the status screen in CC gives her age as 16.)
The panther attack and electrical storm occur in 1006 AD.
Serge drowns or is saved from drowning by Kid in 1010 AD.
Lucca's house was burned down in 1015 AD.

Of course, Kid was not to know anything about this whole plan until later, when all this will finish. Further in the future, Kid is meant to travel back ten years in time from now to save Serge from drowning. And then, Kid was also meant to call Serge into the other world as he spoke with Leena here on Opassa Beach!

Therefore Kid did not time travel to save Serge from drowning until at least 1020 AD.
