I read the follow-up article.  This new title (assuming they finish it) actually looks interesting, or at least the described characters look interesting.  Only one teenager in the foursome, and one 40-year-old guy.  Give Square/Enix credit for defying convention and trying something new.  As for the gameplay, who knows?  Sounds like a dungeon crawler with guns.  Not a whole lot to go on.

Of course, I'm not pleased that this "surprise" had nothing to do with Chrono, but I honestly wasn't expecting it to be anyway.

And that is why they tried the announcement of an announcement gag. Cause the actual announcement was bs and they'd get more hits from telling people to check back over and over again for the "surprise"as in the tomato surprise (the surprise is there's no tomato).

I think I'm more disappointed than anything in the fact that this game looks an awful lot like Left 4 Dead. Not to say that's a bad thing; I really enjoyed the multiplayer aspect of it (co-op isn't something that is utilized very often, unfortunately). Except instead of shooting zombies we are now shooting ... Cactuars and Malboros? No, that would be much too... I would just like to see more originality these days. The randomly generated maps sounds interesting though.
