Revisiting Video Game Symbols: Chrono Trigger
« on: September 30, 2012, 06:36:31 am »

Hey guys! Just wanted to share an fan-image I recently did of Chrono Trigger. This one's part of a series of posters called "Revisiting Video Game Symbols," where I attempt to recreate the logos/icons of my favourite RPGs of all time with my own spin

For many of these posters, I try to incorporate the most defining moment of the game with the game's logo. Chrono Trigger's one of them - for me, one of the moments that stick is the scene at Death Peak where Crono is being revived.

There's more of other games like Final Fantasy VII, Knights of the Old Republic & Skyrim. I won't post them here since they're not Chrono Trigger fan art, but if you're interested in seeing more just visit this link: http://bit.ly/UABYWW

Thanks for viewing!

EDIT: I've replaced the artwork a higher resolution image as requested, and with a different orientation too!

Nicely done. That is also a memorable scene for me as well.

It looks cool but fairly small. Do you have a high res version?

Brilliant typography and ideographic designs! Although I haven't played the game, and nor have I looked much into it, does the last poster represent "Bahamut Lagoon"? That FF VII poster is a huge spoiler!

Aw, man! Where is the Like / Favourite / +1 button when you need 'em most in these forums?

That's quite amazing work there. Reminds me of the mock up posters for the other series like Zelda.

Thanks guys! It's the most significant scene for me too.

Haha yeah, that's why there's a spoiler alert. The last one's for Skyrim actually, check out the original logo here: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/15/The_Elder_Scrolls_V_Skyrim_cover.png

Thanks for the kind words! I've always wanted to do Chrono Trigger fan art, but wasn't sure what to do since I wasn't much of an illustrator. Glad you guys enjoyed it!
