What happened to Magus' Castle?
« on: July 17, 2005, 07:29:17 am »
You may have noticed that, after coming back to 600 AD after fighting Magus and that and Lavos eruting in 600, that Magus' Castle is now gone, completely and utterly dissapeared, no rubble, no nothing, you cant even enter the forest surrounding it even! Does any1 have any idea why?

Probably because of the failed Lavos Summoning. (This connects with other thread lol ^_^) The party wouldn't have survived to the energy released in the failed summoning if there hadn't been a gate, methinks ^_^.

And that's probably why the Mystic's lost the war. So many troops in Magus' castle would have perished too. Personally, I think Magus' castle was above a void, so it just fell into it.

Or it fell to Lavos' pocket Dimension, and Lavos destroyed them.

Mystics: AHHHHH!!!

~They see Lavos~

Mystics: OMG a giant porcupine!

~They get spiked on his thorns~

Lavos: zzz...

Probably destroyed when Lavos got summoned.  Although it was a failed summoning, it was good enough to draw him out of his pocket dimension to create that gate.

And I think it was more Crono/Frog's doing that defeated the Mystics...  Remmber, when you first went into Magus castle, Ozzie said something about defeating all 100 (gasp, thats alot for an army :)) monsters in Magus' castle.

I count them once and there are 100 :P

I just tough about something, when you fight Lavos' Core you see some background, I remember "Magus' Castle", "Ruined World" and "Prehistoric"...

If you believe Magus' Castle was sent to Lavos then all of those three background were seen by Lavos, When he landed, when he erupted and we he got summoned... if there would have been Zeal this theory would have mroe sense though

They didn't have to be sent to Lavos.. I'm not sure where you got that idea.  Lavos has the ablility to time travel, and probably kept tabs on Crono's adventure.

Yea sure he knew what Chrono was doing and didn't tried to stop him...

It was just an idea, why would he have Magus Castle and not so many other place?

I believe there's the Millenial Fair too. Those are just representations of the different time lines.

He isn't really 'revived' so much as he's saved from dying in the first place.

Also, there are more than a 100 in Magus' Castle because some monsters respawn and then there's those rolling monsters that just keep coming down those steps...

Also, I didn't notice that it dissapeared...Ithought I went back in it once near end game...maybe I'm just remembering wrong...But anyways...I think it makes sense that, if it dissapears, that the Mystics probably used it (or at least parts of it) to construct Ozzie's Castle...
