What happened to Magus' Castle?

Yeah, but then, why in the original timeline doesn't Ozzie (Ozzy is for Osbourne) become ruler and have his statue placed in Medina? Why is it Magus first and then when Crono & Co. come into play, it becomes Ozzie?

They worshipped Magus. They did not understand why he dissapeared, but still, they wished that he had finished summoning Lavos and destroyed the humans. The Mystics believe that it will happen in the future, and continue to worship Magus.

But when Magus betrays the Mystics through Ozzy, the realise that he wasn't going to destroy the humans and was using them, so they take down his statue.

Yeah, i go with your reasoning, Zaperking ^_^ Makes a lot of sense.

Whenever i hear the name of Ozzy, i can't help smiling :D there is a Spanish heavy metal group that has a song that goes:

"Often the Man-o-War come to my neighbourhood,
400 prepies die under their axes;
Ozzy Osborne is the elected president of the Government,
the cops have tangled long hair, and do the horn thing (you know, what metal fans do with the fingers, like the moon horns)...
after all, it's just hearing heavy metal, and i get high without pills!"

This was the first time i had heard about Ozzy Osborne, and i thought "hey, like CT baddie".

Yeah, but the statue changes to Ozzie after you defeat Magus in his castle...This is what was making people confused.

Yes, but it has been point out that probably, in the original timeline, Ozzy died durint the summoning of Lavos, as well as Magus.

Hey, I just replayed CT and this is what I got :

"Lavos dissapeared briefly when he was summoned away by a mighty wizard who lived in Guardia, in the year 600."

Lavos dissapeared when Magus summoned away Lavos? WTF. That would mean that Magus sent Lavos to another time or something.

Hmm...I never thought about it, but that IS odd wording for it...I mean, I think that we're led to believe that it means that Lavos was summoned to 600AD, but then...disappeared wouldn't be the right wording...Wait, are you sure that's how the quote was exactly...Because I just noticed that disappeared is spelt wrong...Are you going off memory? Or a script or something?

Magus doesn't betray Ozzie until he joins your party, and they still have the ozzie statue -_-

No Ozzie would probably still fight on Zenan Bridge

I suspect "disappear" means that Lavos was briefly unable to continue its life-sucking, planet-enervating ways following the episode at Magus' Castle.

I think were just looking at it wrong.  It probably means disappeared from his pocket dimension, and in Guardia, well, its not like Magus' empire had an actual country name.  For all we know, the who Mystic war could have been a civil war.
