The Cathedral near Guardia Castle, though originally built for holier purposes, became the staging point of a raid on the castle during the Mystic War. Though it was constructed to have many corridors and rooms of study beyond the simple sanctuary in the front, these were hidden away before 600 A.D. and could only be accessed by playing a certain tune on the nearby organ. As revealed in one of the endings, royal marriages were held in the chapel, and attendants of the castle or townsfolk were free to visit the shrine on a whim. Unfortunately, Yakra infiltrated the castle and posed as the Chancellor; he subsequently invited his cronies to the Cathedral, where they would abduct soldiers and other people for consumption. A statue of Magus was also erected and used as a place of worship. It is unknown how long the deception carried on before Yakra abducted Queen Leene; her recovery was impeded by the numerous Mystics which guarded the halls. After the real Chancellor and Leene were released, the Cathedral was used for a short while before falling into disrepair. By 1000 A.D., it had totally disappeared from the landscape.
