Lab 32 is the name given to a huge wasteland of urban ruin that still contains an intact highway. Like Lab 16, it is infested with mutants; however, other inhabitants -- Johnny, and band of Proto 2s -- race on the highway often for sport. When Crono first tried to cross the ruins, Johnny challenged him to a race. Losing would not permit Crono to cross the ruins. After this initial duel, Johnny allowed further competitive races for prizes.
