The Forest Maze is a jungle "moat" surrounding the Reptite Lair, and contains a winding path watched by wild beasts. The presence of camoflauged vines make travel difficult. Crono must navigate the maze to find the Gate Key and his other items; Ayla gives Kino a verbal abusing at the beginning of the maze for stealing them in the first place.
