Zelbess is the late Fargo's wife, killed in a dispute with General Viper circa 1011 A.D. She is the mother of Nikki and Marcy, and was sister to Irenes. She owned an armoire later kept in Fargo's quarters. Although in Another World, Fargo cherished and fought for her memory on the S.S. Invincible, ironically it was the worse Fargo in Home World that named his ship after his former wife. Masato Kato stated in May 2022 - Chrono Cross Radical Dreamers Edition Questions and Answers that she was "a graceful and gentle mermaid, just like Irene. I also think she had a quiet strength as a sister and mother."
