Welcome to the Community Map. This is an audit of every remaining Chrono site conducted in May 2006. Please note that some small fan pages and fan projects have slipped through the cracks due to the fact that we are unable to comb the full breadth of Google's results. For game translations, see Games. Please note that if you are a webmaster of one of these sites, we'd love to hear from you. At present, the most incomplete listing is the "Foreign Language" section. There seems to be a large Japanese community, but most of us can't translate the language and can't simply find people on the street willing to poke around these Japanese Chrono sites for fun. If you'd like to help, you can start with Chrono Center. They seem to be our equivalent, a huge Chrono site with a ton of links in some sort of submission system. They have a bunch of active projects running that we're DYING to know about. Let me know anything interesting at chronocompendium@gmail.com!

Before a voting and tag system comes in, sites are organized by their type and level of rot. Dead levels are:

  • UPDATING; Updates have been made within the last six months, and the site is healthy.
  • STATIC; The site is quiet or frozen, no discernible updates or no updates needed. Sites that are completely finished regarding their original purpose are static. The presence of a 'Coming soon' note disqualifies placement in this category.
  • DYING; No updates have been made in six months.
  • DEAD; No updates have been made in one year.

Site levels: Comprehensive Sites (cover all games with varied information and are only about the Chrono series), Game-Specific Sites (covering one game with varied information; big sites with individual game pages go here), Fan Projects (active fan projects aiming for more than just singular art or fanfiction), Fan Pages (a step above shrines with some game information or a personal corner of the web), Shrines, and Forums. Sites that just plain have no content whatsoever are omitted.

These dead sites stand out from the rest.

*Chrono Trigger Testament is backed up here.
**We're trying to contact him to figure out what happened. His site disappeared recently. For now, use the Wayback Machine to view his site.
***This Chrono Compendium isn't affiliated with the one you're viewing; it was a small ezBoard community that existed around 2003.

The Surviving Forum Community

To wrap this page up, here are surviving Chrono forums. Some of them are very crusty, and others are outright defunct. Regardless, you can navigate existing English language activity through these.
