Phew! This took me like a month to make. Ya know that official art with Crono standing in front of the Epoch? This one:
I recreated it in 3D! Here it is:
<-- click meThat above thumbnail leads to a 1280x800 version. However, I have versions for 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024, 1600x1200, and 1920x1200 in my Chrono Trigger wallpapers page:
http://www.fantasyanime.com/squaresoft/ctpapers.htmI made it using
Blender (free & open source!), Illustrator, and Photoshop. Here's how I compiled this - First I traced over Crono in Illustrator:
<-- click meWhy Illustrator instead of modeling a real Crono in 3D? Well, I didn't feel like it. =P Modeling anything organic in 3D takes
FOREVER. Plus I thought vector-Crono would make this art project look more authentic. So with Crono finished in Illustrator, I went on to Blender to model the full scene:

<-- click meI did this because the lighting in Squaresoft's art is unnatural and impossible to reproduce within Blender with my current level of skill (or maybe it's not possible?). Anyhow, having everything in layers makes recreating the light an easy task in Photoshop. So with the layers in hand, I produced this in Photoshop:

I hope you like it!
