What is with the flood of guests?

We're like up to 44 on at one time, now. Search engine bots seem to be going crazy on us. Why now?

Possible Temporal Flux users, who have learned of these 'new features' you speak of, and wish to learn more?  :lee:

Or maybe it's just... happened. :/

I checked the logs, and it's all being done by Googlebot, MSN's bot, and smoething called Exabot. Apparently, the search engines have come to town.

That's a shame. Kinda ruins the value of our "most online ever" stat.

Perhaps there's a way to prevent the search engines from tagging us in the first place. I personally wouldn't know how that could be accomplished, but hey, anything's possible.

I got here a while back by Google. But of course we don't need retards *cough* Matt, Flesher, Sage *cough* joining the compendium all at once and completely destroying what little sanity there is left on this site.

... That would definitely be it. As I was telling someone earlier, 4chan is absolutely not the proper place to advertise the Compendium. Who knows what kind of idiot influx we're going to experience now? Though I suppose that just using the Encyclopedia as a reference and not spamming the boards with "Join the forum here! http://chronocompendium.com/" isn't too bad... Either way it inflates the user count, so we no longer have an accurate tally on the board's most active timeslots.

Oh my -- please stop bringing up the past; we'd almost forgotten about their existence. Referring to them is almost guaranteed to give you a bad impression in the Compendiumites' eyes, and we certainly wouldn't want that.

It msot certainly is the fault of the Googlebots, though I'm sure 4chan contributed somewhat.

Hmm, partly because Austin just posted a while ago.
That, and idiot's like me keep bringing it up.

And I didn't find sage that bad. Just that he was a tool.

And does anyone really care about the most active timeslots now? I mean, by now we should've already figured out when people post, and the fact that people's names appear in the bottom should give us more of a hint as to when people are active. Screw the guests!

Tool, as in 'posting one word posts and bumping up to 100 in one day'?

And does anyone really care about the most active timeslots now? I mean, by now we should've already figured out when people post, and the fact that people's names appear in the bottom should give us more of a hint as to when people are active. Screw the guests!

Screw the guests, indeed. What's so wrong with more visitors? As long as they're not interuppting or annoying us, I don't give a damn.

Why do you keep bringing them up? Do you know them or something? Besides, we're not "scarred for life," merely perturbed that they couldn't find some other forum to pester, like GameFAQs or something.

And does anyone really care about the most active timeslots now? I mean, by now we should've already figured out when people post, and the fact that people's names appear in the bottom should give us more of a hint as to when people are active. Screw the guests!

Sheesh, no reason to be rude. I just kinda figured that someone out there might care that the activity on the board is pretty much a completely inaccurate measurement of interest in the Chrono series when all they are are guests led here by an indiscriminate search engine who don't even bother to make accounts or contribute, instead preferring to just glean what information we've collected without bothering to add their two cents. For all we know, they were keyed in to this place because of some off-topic debate on the General board.
